founded in 2014 by Ailidh MacLean, ÜBERCULTURED is a platform where commentary on fashion is accessorised by cultural elements like art, photography and music. the lengthy list of interviewees includes everything from international designers, stylists and models, to curators, artists and rock stars.
originally from edinburgh, i've worked in paris, london and barcelona writing for magazines including dazed, AnOther, another man, wonderland and metal. i've also worked in sales roles with gucci and harvey nichols and assisted in the erdem showroom during paris fashion week. in london, i've worked within the e-commerce department at SHOWstudio, as a content writer for farfetch and in product marketing at harvey nichols.

i currently work as the content manager for schuh.


i completed a BA fashion marketing degree, with my honour's project being a 13,000-word dissertation on the use of subcultural aesthetics in the youth menswear market. my research included interviews with select individuals across different sectors of the fashion industry to find out why subcultural aesthetics appeal to contemporary youth.
